       Glad you stopped by. My name is Tom and my wifes name is Donna. We have two boys, Caleb age 17 and Joshua age 15. Our other family member is a Red and White Blue Eyed Siberian Husky named Kara. We live in the Flint Hills of Kansas.

       Our hobbies and interest are primitive skills which are flint knapping, brain tanning buckskin, blacksmithing, black powder shooting and Donna also makes long leaf pineneedle baskets. I like to collect antique tools to add to my blacksmith shop. Caleb has also been collecting antique tools along with me. He right now has his own anvil and forge. Caleb also likes to collect Coca Cola items. Donna besides collecting antiques likes to collect bears. Joshua likes to collect Dinosaurs and anything else he likes.

     Right now we are trying to learn as many of the old and almost lost arts as we can. We have taught workshops and have demonstrated at festivals and schools. We hope to pass on what we have learned to keep the arts alive.

    Below are a few things we have made... A long leaf pineneedle basket. The needles used are 12" to 18" long. The stitching in the basket is raffia which is the inner bark of the palm tree.The table is hand forged steel. The ladles are hand forged steel with a hammered bowl. The arrowheads are knapped from Georgia's black flint and are tied on with sinue and hide glue.
