About Wales

From December 7 2003, the franchise for Welsh train services was taken over by Arriva Trains Wales, which operates services formerly run by Wales and Borders, including Valley Lines.
Services between South Wales and London Paddington continue to be operated by First Great Western; between South Wales and Bristol and the South West of England by Wessex Trains; and Holyhead and London Euston by Virgin Trains, which also operate from Cardiff to the North East of England.
Central Trains run between Cardiff and Birmingham/
Nottingham/Lincoln
