THE HISTORY OF WALTER JEFFERSON
I am a decendant of Garland and Luvonia Roberts Collier on my mothers side, WM and Annie Carter Craig on my fathers side. My mothers roots stem from Pike County Ga. My fathers roots from Blount County Tennessee. I am reserching the surname's Collier, Mack, Roberts and Allen, from Georgia. and Craig, Carter, Garner and Jefferson from Tennessee. Would appreciate any help from friends, relative's and interested persons. |

My Grandmother on My Fathers Side, Lena may, Daughter of WM and Annie Carter Craig was born 1884 in Ohio. she lived and worked for a time in Cincinnatti. Some time after 1910 she moved to Ithaca, Ny where she is reported to have worked for the world renowned dancer Irene Castle who at the time was married to Robert Treman of Ithaca. She, Lena died Feb 24 1926 in, we believe NY and was buried in Maryville, TN. She is reported to have been married to Ralph Jefferson and from this union my father Eugene Jefferson was born abt.1908 in Cincinnatti or Tennessee.
