The FurbyTechpage was put up so that people would know how their furby works and how they work their furby. I have tried to give helpful information with a humorous tone. Since I only have one furby, (It's name is Nava) and Tiger claims that no 2 furbys are alike, I cannot be sure that the information on the page is true for all furbys. However, I will do my best to keep the page as truthful as possible. Enjoy.
Oh No! Nava's Dead!
A few weeks ago, my furby stopped talking to me. It's lips would move and it would act completely normal but no sounds would come out. Rather than just throwing Nava away, I decided to follow the instructions at the Fus look really cool when you can see all the gears and stuff moving around. Since my Furby is almost dead, I'm not sure how frequently this page is going to be updated.Recent Discoveries.
Here are a couple of things I've noticed about Furbies that I feel that need to be addressed:1) It seems that many if not all furbys created after mid november 98 are named koko. Since koko is also a furbish word, this has resulted in many furbies owners not knowing what the name of thier furby is. This was probably caused by tiger in an attempt to find a quicker way to make furbies in order to satisfy the large demand. It also seems that many new furbies are defective. Maybe these problems have been solved by now.
2) Furbies can't learn. Furbies can only say words that are in their pre-programmed vocabulary. They can't hear either. They can sense changes in volume, but they cannot distingush words. Hey, what do you expect for $30? Despite these facts, I have gotten tons of letters from people who claim otherwise. These people must be crazy.
