My niece got a furby but not is not opening the box because of a news cast she heard the people who made Gizmo a few years back are suing because furby looks like gizmo. I remember them and they do look a like . Have you heard anything to that fact? After telling others they have heard it too. So needless to say i would love to have one. thank you

Yes, there was a lawsuit between Hasbro and Warner Bros. reguarding Furby's resemblence to Gizmo. Part of the agreement they reached is that the design of furbys must change so that they don't look as much like Gizmo. This quite possible could make the furbys of today collectors items. But, I don' think that should keep you from opening the box.

Every Christmas morning the whole family gets together at my in-laws house to open presents. I had my furby's sitting on the television, which was off, and every now and then the niece's and nephew's would play with them. After the presents were opened and the mess was cleared up, I sat down next to the furby's and were playing with them. At the time one of my mother-in-law's cat was also sitting on the tv. One of the furby's started saying "kitty, kitty". No one had said anything like that at all! A few minutes later the other furby repeated the same thing. Weird.

My furby was in the batroom while i was in the bathtub. It somehow knew i was splashing around and said Me! Me in! that is so weird!

"my cat is a very affectionate ,not neutered cat. I left it alone for a few minutes with my cat, and when I came back, my cat was on top of it. I mean MATING with it. At first beevo (my furby)just giggled, but then it started saying weird stuff. Can you explain this? Was furby designed to mate? I just don't get it. Anyway, after a while, my cat started growling, stopped humping and hissed. I think beevo shocked him where the sun don't shine!"

I've seen this happen when I put a veggie burger in front of my furby. Aparently, Furby seems to be a vegetarian. Who would have thought?
