Of late, July 1997, we have been cruising, fishing, and generally the crew of Wedac have been sciving off. One redeeming fact is that in the spring I actually did some very serious work on the cockpit wall and the cupboards located to each side of the cockpit.
The wall of the aft bedroom leads to the cockpit and is now made of Mahogany double sided raised panels. We managed to make the panels from solid pieces of mahogany, bought as ten foot panels thirty inches wide and one and a half inches thick, so there are no joins. Increasingly I am told that this will become more difficult as Mahogany wood becomes a rarety in the lumber yards.
Thank goodness, for the time being, there is enough lumber to finish Wedac.
This is the sort of hard work I've been doing all
summer:
Heavy stuff
eh?
