Since 1825 this church has shared the GOOD NEWS of Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We are a friendly church with a truly Biblical message. The purpose of this church is to equip God's people to share the gospel, to help them grow in the knowledge of God and His Word, and to go out and practice what the Bible teaches. We know, without the Bible telling us, that we are all sinners. The Bible does tell us in Romans 3:23 that "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." God must make some provision to deal with sin since He is pure and holy and cannot have sin in his presence. God provided salvation from sin and its penalty of death by sending His Son Jesus, the Christ, into the world to live and suffer as a perfect, sinless human being. He did this so that He could be our substitute, paying the price that we should paid, so that we can be free from sin's penalty - eternal separation from God. As Romans 6:23 states, "The wages of sin is death, BUT the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD." This is the message of salvation that we preach. Jesus died as our substitute and we experience eternal life by accepting His death for us on the cross as our own. ACKNOWLEDGE that we are sinners, CONFESS our sin, BELIEVE that He carried our sins to the cross, ACCEPT Him as our Savior, and then LIVE for Him.
