Wheatley Spire

Welcome to the homepage of Wheatley Bell Tower, part of the Parish Church of St. Mary, Wheatley, Oxfordshire.
The tower and spire, designed by G. E. Street, was completed in 1868 and is a prominent landmark in the valley where Wheatley is situated.
It houses a ring of six bells, the tenor weighing 10cwt. (half a ton). In 1996 the bells were tuned and rehung, the Treble and Tenor also being recast. This work was done by the Whitechapel Bellfoundry, London.
