"No way are you a Ghost."

Maddeningly enough, his smile returned more mischievous then ever. "And why's that?"

"Well…because." Oh now that was a heck of an answer. If her mind was going to mull over the logic of all this, she was going to have to do better then that. "Because I can't see through you and Ghosts don't…um…don't kiss."

Fingers trailed along her lips ricocheting sensation through her body.

"They don't?" Distance closed between them...

Pride propped her to press the lobby button again. It did little good; one of his hands simply reached up to block the closing elevator.

She mustered as much foreign flippancy as she could, turned away from him, and slowly paced the twelve by twelve carpeted reciprocal. "Shouldn't you be somewhere else?"

"You started something I'd like to finish."

She needed to stop thinking of what she was going to do in front of dozens of people ready to capture it on film.

Abby Jackson nervously licked her lips, regretting it. The person that'd been at her hair somehow managed to render a lip-brush, instantly coating her mouth with gloss. "He's supposed to do that Hon, keep it on till then."

His kiss was feverent, silencing, intoxicating. It rushed her with warmth, vibrance, and a life-force she didn't know she lacked till that very moment.

Pain rushed her body with the same velvet warmth of that kiss, but she could bear it as long as he held her, as long as she had reason to believe in miracles...

Gloria shrugged, picked up her book again, and playfully threw back, "Maybe, but I bet he can't kiss like Barnibus."

Finding the page where kisses were the least of what was going on, her sight was suddenly covered by a pair of large warm hands while a male velvet voice tripped near her ear. "You're on."

"I'm gonna kiss you," he murmured, warm wisps of words caressing her lips as he finished, "then carry you off somewhere private to persuade an I do out of you."...

Reflections of a Lover -- Compleat

Mirror Mirror -- In Progress

Mirror Mirror

...An extended arm added to that vision, one whose hand trapped her progress dead in her tracks. Her gaze followed the length of that arm to his shoulder, met squarely at chest level, then gazed up and wished with all her might she could sink into the wall. "Any relation to Casper? I seem to remember him being a friendly ghost."

She smiled weakly as her heart pounded so hard, she thought it'd burst out of her chest at any moment.

My goodness he was fantastic -- he must have dwarfed her by a good six inches, and that was just leaning towards her like he was. His eyes were so blue, you could hardly distinguish where color ended and his pupils began. The plans of his face were slightly angular, but so startlingly striking; she had to remind herself she was facing a ghost and not an angle.

Her gaze drifted to his mouth that eased into a slow lazy smile the more she stared -- and the more she did that, the more she remembered just how vivid her dream had been.

That mouth had been persuasive and engulfing -- an extremely talented mouth that had consumed her senses all too easily; and then a thought frighteningly occurred to her "You tried to posses me!"

His smile widened. "Nearly."

Oh Lord, and he looked like he was gonna try his luck again if she didn't hurry up and do something! She brought both hands up between them, crossed her index fingers into what looked more like a plus sign instead of a cross, and warned " Careful, I know excersisum!"

One of his eyebrows arched at her antics, and to her rising anxiety, instead of the 'ghost' backing off, his other arm came up around the other side of her and trapped her in place. "Aye, but do you know Druid?"

Her mind raced striving to find a solution out of this escalating situation. "You mean this only works on Catholic ghosts? Druid…druid…uh…that's like worshiping trees or something…?"

She didn't like the way his eyes flared with humor, and from the distinct way he compressed his lips, she knew he was secretly laughing at her. "Or something."

"Than I don't suppose a wooden stake or silver bullet would do the trick, huh?"

He shook his head while his eyes lowered to her lips. "Useless."...
