HECATE ("Hellboy") (bad)
In the middle of a case involving vampire arms dealers, Nazi scientists and his arch-enemy Rasputin, Hellboy encounters Hecate deep in the bowels of Castle Giurescu. He has to defend himself from the vengeful snake goddess of the Underworld as a time-bomb ticks down! He narrowly escapes her coils just as the bomb levels the castle and Hecate dissolves in the sunlight! Allies: Rasputin Enemies: Hellboy
HELLBOY ("Hellboy") (good)
In 1944, a demon child is summoned by Nazis and Rasputin in an attempt to start Ragna Rok. The child is rescued by the Allies and christened Hellboy. Hellboy grew to become the world's greatest paranormal detective and a member of the BRPD; scouring the earth fighting supernatural horrors and unlocking his mysterious origin. He is stronger and tougher then a normal man and resembles a devil right down to the tail and cloven hooves. His horns are kept filed down to nubs. His right hand is encased in the indestructible relic known as the "hand of doom" that, if ever separated from his body, will usher in the apocalypse. HELLBOY (Unique) ("Hellboy") (good)
A box containing the devil Ualac is opened by Igor Bromhead and Hellboy and Abe Sapien are lured into his trap. Abe is shot and tortured by a monkey while Bromhead utters Hellboy's true name (Anung Un Rama), binding him. As the incantation is said, Hellboy's horns grow long, revealing his "true" self and the "crown of the apocalypse" previous invisible and unknown even to Hellboy. Ualac takes the crown and is about to slay Hellboy when Hellboy realizes conditions that bind him no long apply. He defies his "true" self by snapping off his horns and uses them to impale Ualac. Bromfeld is cursed into a lizard as Abe escapes his simian captor. Satan arrives to imprison Ualac and the takes the crown, telling Hellboy he will hold it should he ever wish to reclaim it... JUDGE (Brit City) (UK) ("2000 AD") (good)
Like it's American counterpart, Brit-City has its share of some of tough Judges: Judge Armour was one of the Judges who went after the villainous Sabbat during Judgment Day, and fell in battle with zombies. Armitage is a detective Judge who constantly battles the corruption rife in the Brit Cit Justice Department. JUDGE ANDERSON (Unique) ("2000 AD") (good)
Judge Anderson is a member of Mega-City One's psychic Psi Division. Possessing powerful mental powers, she was called in by Judge Dredd to read the minds of the victims of Judge Death. When Death's spirit entered her body, Anderson was able to trap it within herself . She ordered Dredd to seal her in Boing, a super strong plastic where she stayed imprisoned for years. She was released when Death was freed by the other Dark Judges. Anderson and Dredd followed them to their dimension where she channelled the souls of the Dark Judge's victims to seemingly destroy them. Anderson later gave up being a Judge to travel the galaxy. She returned to save Mega-City One from the powerful being known as Satan, and was reinstated to her position in Psi Division where she continues to protect Mega-City One from supernatural threats. JUDGE DEATH (Unique) ("2000 AD") (bad)
Sydney De'Ath was a Judge in an alternate dimension and came to the conclusion that since all crime was committed by the living, life itself was a crime. He transformed himself and three likeminded colleagues into the Dark Judges and they began to sentence death to all life. After killing the entire planet, they turned their attention to our Earth, travelling here by dimensional portal. No longer possessing corporal form, Judge Death can possess a corpse to serve out his sentence, usually by  using his clawed hands to reach in and squeeze the heart of his victim. Death has been stopped by Judges Dredd and Anderson on several occasions and remains a threat to all life. JUDGE DREDD ("2000 AD") (good)
To the citizens of Mega-City One, Judge Joseph Dredd is the man who protects them as well as arrest them if they step out of line - HE IS THE LAW! Mega-City One, a futuristic city in the 22nd century, is home to 400 million citizens, every one a potential criminal. The rampant crime has required the creation of the Judges: a force of lawmen who are judge, jury and executioners. Dredd is the greatest Judge of all - dedicated to the Law above all else, having saved the city again and again from a variety of threats and is the living symbol of the Law - so much so that he is never seen without his helmet on. Dredd has bionic eyes to replace ones ripped out by an enemy several years back and is physically fit as any human can be. He is skilled in all forms of combat and has an incredible array of equipment at his disposal, should his Lawgiver gun and Lawmaster motorcycle prove insufficient. While he normally works alone, Dredd has worked with Judges Anderson and Hershey against such criminals as the Dark Judges, the Angel gang and his own brother, Rico. One of the Dark Judges from Judge Death's Death Dimension, Judge Fear's true face is locked away behind his bat-winged helmet. Anyone forced to gaze upon his visage immediately drops dead of pure terror. While dedicated to the extermination of all living things, Judge Dredd and Anderson of the Psi Division have defeated Judge Fear many times. JUDGE FIRE (UK) ("2000 AD") (bad)
One of the Dark Judges, Judge Fire is a being of living flame, incinerating the guilty in a single touch. Along with the other Dark Judges, Judge Fire has been defeated by Judges Dredd and Anderson many times.Allies: Judge Death, Judge Fear, Judge Mortis Enemies: Judge Dredd, Judge Anderson
JUDGE HERSHEY (Barbara Hershey LE) ("2000 AD") (good)
Barbara Hershey has a meteoric rise in her career in the Judges. After graduating from the Academy of Law she was assigned to the Spacecruiser Justice 1 to find the Judge Child. Working closely with Judge Dredd, the two gained mutual respect for each other. Hershey survived the mission and was commended by Dredd himself. After being saved  by Dredd from the Angel gang, Hershey was recruited into the Apocalypse Squad whose mission was to end the Apocalypse War by destroying East Meg One. Her successful involvement resulted in her promotion to senior Street Judge. Four years later, after Chief Judge McGruder took the Long Walk, Hershey became the youngest member on the Council of Five. After the Judgment Day crisis when Chief Judge Volt committed suicide, Hershey was promoted to Chief Judge of Mega City One. JUDGE MORTIS (UK) ("2000 AD") (bad)
One of the Dark Judges, Judge Mortis is a living corpse, whose putrifying touch causes death by decay in seconds. Along with the other Dark Judges, Judge Mortis has been defeated by Judges Dredd and Anderson many times. Allies: Judge Death, Judge Fire, Judge Fear Enemies: Judge Dredd, Judge Anderson
KABUKI ("Kabuki") (good)
A Japanese General discovers his wife was raped by his son. The mother, a kabuki actress, dies in childbirth. The child, Ukiko Kai, is taken away to a private academy to be raised as an agent of the Noh; an agency created combat the Yakuza. Years later, when Ryoichi Kai , the gangster son, learns about his bastard daughter, he tracks down the girl and carves the words "Kabuki" into her face as a warning to the general. The girl survives the attack, but has been changed by the experience. Believing she is now a "ghost ," she become Kabuki, the deadliest of the eight Noh agents. Kabuki is a graceful killer, versed in all forms of unarmed combat, though prefers the sickle used by her farming ancestors. Kabuki eventually gains revenge on her father Kai, killing him and most of his organization. When Kabuki is brought before the Noh board of directors for punishment, she bites off her own finger before assassinating the entire board. Allies: Scarab, Tiger Lily, Siamese Enemies: Keiko

KABUKI (Team) (neutral)
From the series "Kabuki" by David Mack. Kabuki, Scarab, Tiger Lily, Siamese, Ice, Butoh and Snapdragon. Eight beautiful media icons in futuristic Japan, but these women double as assassins, spies, and agents of espionage for the military organization known as the Noh.
NATALIA KASSLE (US) ("Danger Girl") (neutral)
A former agent of the Russian intelligence, Natalia is an expert in hand-to-hand combat and her skill with knives is uncanny. She joined the Danger Girls but thanks to her cold demeanor, never really fit in with the other girls. Natalia was seemingly killed while on a mission. She later resurfaces as a prominent member of the Hammer Empire involved in a scheme to use three artifacts that could grant god-like powers. Abby realized she had been used by Natalia to recover the artifacts, and went to stop her one-time ally. Their fight was interrupted by the resurrection of an evil dead Atlantean king. The two teamed up to destroy the undead creature and once he was defeated, Natalia tried to kill Abby once more in the fighter plane they were in. But Natalia fell to her death and is presumedly dead. Allies: Abby Chase, Sydney Savage Enemies: Major Maxim

KEIKO (LE) ("Kabuki") (good)
Keiko and her friend Seiko ran away from their orphanage to live on the streets. The two girls associated with many dangerous street characters like the Malpractice Gang, eventually becoming involved in crimes themselves. When Yukio and Seiko tried to steal thousands of dollars from the Yamamoto Gumi, Seiko was killed. Keiko became a police informant to bring down the Yamamoto Gumi and was eventually taken in by the Noh, becoming the agent known as Scarab, where she befriended the second Tiger Lily. Keiko was later killed in a confrontation with Kabuki. Allies: Tiger Lily, Siamese Enemies: Kabuki
LOBSTER JOHNSON (Lobster Johnson LE) ("Hellboy") (good)
Lobster Johnson was thought to be a fictional pulp character until dead mobsters started showing up bearing his trademark: a lobster claw burned into their foreheads. Lobster fought against crime until 1939 when he joined the allies to stop the Nazi's "space program" at Hunte Castle. The castle exploded and all parties disappeared. 61 years later, Hellboy and Roger the Golem travelled to the castle's ruins to stop the rising of the Conqueror Worm. Roger is aided by Lobster who helps him escape the Nazi's death traps. Lobster eventually fights and kills the villainous Inger Von Klempt and helps destroy the monstrous worm. As Hellboy and Roger leave the castle, they discover Lobster Johnson's long dead body. Had they been helped by a ghost?! Allies: Hellboy Enemies: None

MAGDALENA (Sister Magalena LE) ("The Magdalena") (good)
A descendent of Mary Magdalen, the Magdalena serves the Catholic Church as an agent of justice. The Magdalena is blessed with the ability to reveal the sins of one's past. Utilizing her special gift, she gives others the chance to repent and obtain redemption for their wrongdoing. Wielding the legendary Spear of Destiny, the Magdalena is always there to serve the church when dire need arises. She has found herself a frequent ally of Witchblade and just as frequent opponent of the Darkness. Allies: Witchblade Enemies: Ian Nottingham, Darkness
MAJOR MAXIM (US) ("Danger Girl") (bad)
Now the master of the Hammer Empire's military forces, Major Maxim started as a lowly soldier, the sole successful product of Dr. Kharnov Von Krippler's Hammer Ubermensch program. Maxim became dependent on the mysterious blue formula that provides his incredible size and strength. While feared the world over as the Hammer Empire's virtually unstoppable killing machine, Maxim has been defeated twice by the Danger Girls; buried alive at the end of the team’s last mission. NEMESIS THE WARLOCK (UK) ("2000 AD") (neutral)
The deviant known as Nemesis is neither good nor evil, seeking to tip the universal balance in favour of Khaos. As self-proclaimed leader of the Cabal, an interplanetary alien alliance, Nemesis is regarded throughout the Universe as a saviour and the greatest opponent of human atrocities waged against the so-called deviants. Nemesis wields a variety of weapons in his battles against Torquemada and his Terminators: Powerful magic, guns, swords, he can even fly and breathe fire! Along with his ally, Purity Brown, the Warlock travels in his living ship, the Blitzspear, saving countless lives and sparing whole planets from Torquemada's terrible evil at the cost of his own family. IAN NOTTINGHAM (US)  ("Witchblade") (neutral)
Ian Nottingham, once a deadly assassin, was the bodyguard of Kenneth Irons. Sent after Sara Pezzeni to get the Witchblade, Ian began to have feelings for her. During their battle, Ian siphoned off siphoned some of the Witchblade's power, almost killing Sara and seemingly sacrificing his life to stop his employer. However Ian returned, becoming part of a plot to gain control of both the Witchblade and the Darkness. Though the Darkness was taken back by its rightful bearer, he retained the Witchblade a while longer, becoming one of the only men to wield to the weapon. In addition to the Witchblade, Ian has been known to wield twin katanas as well as mystical strength.Allies: Witchblade Enemies: Magdalena, Darkness
