they infiltrate The World - Weapon Plus' secret labs - where Wolverine learns
his true origin and identity. Fantomex later helps Wolverine and Weapon X

Peter and Flash reconciled, becoming good friends. Flash went into the army
where he met his Vietnamese girlfriend Sha Shan. However, Flash's life was

FRANKLIN RICHARDS (Bystander)
(good)
Franklin is the young son of Reed and Sue Richards of the Fantastic Four.
Due to the cosmic radiation that had spawned the super team, the FF had to
travel to the negative zone and obtain Annihilus' cosmic control rod to insure
Sue's safe pregnancy. Franklin was born with incredible psionic powers, powerful
enough for the infant child to defeat Ultron. On several occasion, Franklin's
future selves have come to help regulate the enormous power his younger self
possesses. After one of these visits, Franklin's power was reduced but he
still possessed precognitive abilities. As Tattletale, a member of the adolescent
team Power Pack, Franklin helped prevent an alien invasion. He was later
captured by the villainous Onslaught who wanted to use Franklin's powers
to alter reality. When the world's heroes seemingly "died" in the battle,
it was Franklin who saved them in a protective pocket universe. Franklin
has since been re-united with his family.

GIANT MAN (Ultimate) (Unique)
(good)
Following the disaster with the Hulk, Henry "Hank" Pym seemed to be SHIELD
Project Super Soldier's brightest new star. A genius who had already invented
a helmet that allowed him to telepathically control ants, Hank's latest success
was creating a formula that allowed him to grow to over 59 feet tall. However,
feeling impotent over failing to stop the Hulk's latest rampage combined
with his unfounded suspicion of wife, the Wasp's infidelity, Hank snapped.
He attacked the Wasp, seriously injuring her. Captain America retaliates
by beating Hank within an inch of his life. As Giant Man, Hank could do
everything a normal human could, only bigger!
Allies: Ultimates Enemies:

GLADIATOR (Unique)

Praetor Kallark of the Shi'ar Imperial guard is one of the most powerful
beings in the known universe. Gladiator can fly and move at hypersonic speeds,
shatter planets with a single punch, fire intense heat from his eyes and
can survive the vacuum of space without breathing. He first fought the X-Men
on the moon in an attempt to stop the growing threat of the Dark Phoenix.
Gladiator later battled the Fantastic Four whom he mistook for shape-changing
Skrulls. When Deathbird became the new empress of the Shi'ar Empire, he harbored
doubts about serving the power-mad queen but he still remains a loyal subject.
Allies: Deathbird Enemies:
Phoenix, Cyclops, Fantastic Four, X-Men |
 |
GWEN STACEY (Bystander)
(good)
Gwen and Peter Parker met at Empire State University. After a bumpy start,
the two fell in love. But their happiness wouldn't last. Gwen's father, a
retired police captain, was killed during Spider-Man's fight with Doctor
Octopus. Not long after, Green Goblin took Gwen as a hostage. During the
fight against Spider-Man, the Green Goblin knocked her of the top of the
George Washington Bridge. Whether her neck broke in the fall or when Spider-Man
caught her will never be known. Spider-Man remains haunted by the specter
of Gwen's death to this day; whether it is by the Jackal's clone duplicate
of her or through her look-alike children who where fathered by Spidey's
hated enemy, the Green Goblin.
Allies: Spider-Man Enemies:
None |

HARPOON (bad)
Inuit Kodiak Noatak was part of the Mr. Sinister's Marauders who
caused the "Mutant Massacre." Using his "slayspears" as a conductor, he could
channel energy that would puncture, electrocute or disintegrate his targets.
It was Harpoon's spears that pinned X-man Angel to the wall, resulting in
the hero having to have them amputated and replaced with metal ones. Harpoon
was killed during "Inferno" but has since been cloned thanks to his master.
Allies: Harpoon, Vertigo,
Sabretooth, Mr. Sinister Enemies: X-Men, Morlocks |

HAVOK (Alex Summers LE)
(good)

mutant ability until late in life when he was kidnapped by the Living Monolith.
Under the stress of the encounter, his power to generate solar powered plasma
blasts and shockwaves manifested. While happy to be reunites with his brother,
he returned to a life of solitude. After being kidnapped by Sentinels, Havok
joined the X-men, where he learned to control his powers and fell in love
with fellow teammate Polaris. The couple left the team for their own adventures
where they encountered the Hulk and were hunted by the Marauders. The couple
returned to join X-Factor but after the "death" of teammate Maddrox, Havok
joined the Black Beast's Brotherhood. However, it was a ploy to expose the
Beast's sinister plans. Recently, during an airplane explosion, Havok was
ripped from our dimension to a dark, twisted one. As Mutant X, he fought
against the evil of that realm, paying the ultimate sacrifice to restore
the fabric of reality.

to help the man hidden within the monster?
Allies: Betty Ross-Banner
Enemies: Iron Man, Avengers |
 |
HULK (Gamma Radiation) (Inquest Exclusive LE)
(good)
While large doses of gamma radiation leads to cellular deterioration and
death in normal humans, it is unknown why it has led to mutation and superhuman
abilities in such subjects as the Hulk, Abomination, Leader and Doc Samson.
One theory is that their DNA structure is more acceptable to the gamma radiation
which acts as a catalyst to the physical changes. These changes somehow correlate
with the subject's physiological profile; manifesting into their deepest
self-images and desires. However, why gamma radiation causes these mutates
to gain green coloration is still a mystery.
Allies: Doc. Samson, She-Hulk,
Betty Ross-Banner Enemies: Abomination, The Leader,
Rhino |

think fast to

him with the serum. Dying, Sallis fled into the swamp where he mutates into
a horrible muck monster: the Man-Thing. The Man-Thing now acts as a servant
of the Nexus of Realities where he encounters many travelers such as the
Hulk and Cyclops. Now that his body is composed of muck and vegetable matter,
Man-Thing is not only invulnerable to harm, but can also ooze through small
openings. He is sensitive to extreme emotions such as fear and anger which
cause him to secrete sulfuric acid; thus the phrase:" Those who know fear,
burn at the Man-Thing's touch!"

to join the X-men, calling himself the Mimic. He was asked to leave the team
due to his aggressive nature. When the suicidal Rankin encountered the Hulk
he attempted to drain the Hulk's deadly gamma radiation. However, the mimicked
healing ability of Wolverine enabled him to survive. Mimic was found by
Onslaught, who brainwashed him to fight against X-Force. Mimic was freed
of Onslaught's control after his defeat and has shown up again as a member
of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. While he could mimic the ability of any
superpower he encountered, Mimic usually copied the wings of Angel, the agility
of the Beast and the optic blasts of Cyclops.

MODOK (Unique)
(bad)
Power hungry lackey George Tarleton was an agent of AIM when he "volunteered"
to become the Mental Organism Designed Only for Computing. However, once
the transformation was complete, Tarleton used his new psionic powers to
destroy his creators. Rechristening himself MODOK (the "K" standing for killing),
he seized control of AIM and began ruling it with an iron hand. MODOK fought
time and time again against heroes as the Hulk, Iron Man and Captain America.
While he possessed incredible intelligence and mental powers, he required
a robotic hovering chair to transport his huge head and wasted body. MODOK
was assassinated by members of the Serpent Society

to increase. N'astirh succeeded in demonically corrupting the entire city
of Manhattan. His dark magic transformed Madelyne Pryor into the Goblin Queen
and the second Hobgoblin into the Demogoblin. He was defeated when his portal
was closed by the New Mutants and X-Terminators. N'astirh became infected
by the Phalanx's techno-organic virus and eventually succumbed to it. The

family he never had, he joined Alpha Flight as Northstar. He could fly, move
at super speed and generate a blinding light when he touched his sister.
However, his hot-headedness and politics caused him to leave the team. When
he fell sick, Alpha Flight helped him find the elvish firefountain that would
cure him but was stopped by Loki. He and Aurora ascended to a higher plane
until Northstar was summoned again by Alpha Flight. Back on Earth, he came
out of the closet, revealing that he was a homosexual. He adopted an HIV
