Since their meeting, Sue has developed romantic feelings for Reed and they are now romantically involved. Her powers allow her to become invisible and project invisible force fields. IRON FIST (good) Daniel Rand's father was the banished heir to the throne of the extra-dimensional city of K'un-L'un Attempting to return, Daniel's parents were killed by the actions of their business partner, Harold Meachum. Young Daniel was taken in by the residents of K'un-L'un and trained by the martial arts master Lei Kung the Thunderer. The training hardened his hands into deadly weapons. His rite of passage was a battle against the fire-breathing serpent Shou-Lao who gave Daniel the quasi-mystical force called the "Iron Fist" and marked his chest with a dragon-shaped scar. By focusing these powers and his chi, Daniel can either heal others or deliver a crushing blow. Returning to America as Iron Fist, he sought revenge on Meachum, who was in turn murdered by Hand ninjas. Colleen Wing helped clear his name and Iron Fist became the lover of Wing's partner; Misty Knight. Iron Fist became the partner of Power Man aka Luke Cage. As a member of Heroes for Hire, Iron Fist worked as bodyguard and detective. After contracting cancer, Iron Fist found himself replaced by several impersonators including the Super-Skrull. KARMA (good) After her parents were killed, Xi'an (pronounced Shan) Coy Manh, her twin brother Tran and her younger siblings Leong and Nga fled their native Viet-Nam. Possessing the mutant ability to control others, Xi'an's uncle, the criminal General Nguyen, kidnapped Leong and Nga in an attempt to force the mutant twins into joining his criminal empire. Tran agreed but Xi'an fled, eventually mind-controlling Spider-Man into helping rescue her family. During the fight, Xi'an was forced to kill her brother by absorbing his life essence. Calling herself Karma, Xi'an was invited to enroll in Xavier's school and became the leader of the New Mutants. Though thought killed by the Viper, Xi'an was possessed by the Shadow King, who turned her morbidly obese; however, she slimmed down after spending months in an Aesgardian desert. After the New Mutants broke up, Karma moved to Madripoor where she had several adventures with Wolverine. Now years later, she has moved back to the US, where she resumed going to school, joined the newest incarnation of the New Mutants and come out of the closet. JOLT (good) After her family was killed during Onslaught's Sentinel attack on New York, Helen "Hallie" Takahama was captured by Arnim Zola who used her for genetic experimentation. She gained bioelectrical powers and escaped, seeking out the Fantastic Four for help. She found the Thunderbolts instead. Even though she was shocked by the revelation that the Thunderbolts were villains, she stayed with the team to stop Baron Zemo's plot. After Hawkeye joined the team, she returned to school and some degree of normalcy. But soon after, she was "killed" by Scourge. Teammate Techno placed her body into a bio containment chamber where it transformed into a pure bioelectrical form. In this form she has enhanced strength, speed, can fire electrical blasts and fly. Jolt learned to revert back into human form but her body is frail and sickly. She has since been transported with her fellow teammates to Counter Earth. JUGGERNAUT (Cain Marko LE)
(bad/good) After years of battling his step-brother Charles Xavier and the X-Men, Cain Marko turned over a new leaf when he realized his partner Black Tom was manipulating him. Using the incredible strength and invulnerability granted to him by the mystical gem of Cytorrak, Cain joined the X-Men and even taught gym at Xavier's school. When Black Tom returned for revenge, Cain fell through a dimensional portal where he joined up with the reality-hopping Exiles. (good) One of the Inhumans that lives on the blue side of the moon, Lockjaw is a large bulldog that can teleport with his add of his forehead "tuning fork". The Thing thought that Lockjaw might actually be a mutates human, but it later revealed that Karnak and Gorgon were playing a practical joke on him. Allies: Fantastic Four Enemies: None |

MAD THINKER (Unique)
(bad) Possessing a super-genius level intellect, the man known as the Thinker had a successful criminal career for years when he attempted to turn New York into an independent nation with himself as its ruler. He tricked the Fantastic Four away from their Baxter Building headquarters and using Reed Richards' equipment, constructed his first Awesome Android. He was eventually defeated and the press dubbed him the "Mad Thinker." The Mad Thinker has clashed with many superheroes including the Avengers, Spider-Man, the X-Men and the Thunderbolts. He has attempted to conquer the world with his partners the Puppet Master and Egghead and transformed the golden age android Human Torch and Toro into a weapons. He frequently utilizes robotic duplicates to battle his enemies. MIRAGE (and Brightwind)(Double)
(good) Cheyenne mutant Dani Moonstar could see visions and create illusions. Haunted by the visage of a demon bear, Dani was protected and raised by her Shaman grandfather Black Eagle. As she grew older, she was sent to Xavier's school to hone her powers but before leaving, Black Eagle was killed by mutant hunter Donald Pierce. Dani joined the New Mutants as Mirage. The New Mutants defeated the demon bear but not long after, the team was captured by the Enchantress and teleported to Asgard. There, Dani joined the Valkyrie, Odin's warrior women, and rescued Brightwind; the winged horse. She also gained the ability to see death-visions which frightened her immensely but was able to fight off death with her "Spirit Lance" illusion. Her powers were further increased when Morlocks advanced her mutation, giving her illusions physical form. During the Inferno event, the Norse death goddess Hela converted her along with all her Valkyrie sisters into "Dark Valkyrie." With the help of Dr. Strange, the New Mutants restored her to normal and the team returned to Asgard to stop Hela's plot. Dani stayed behind with the Valkyrie. (good) A child prodigy, Reed Richards started research into teleportation at the age of 11. He was recruited into the government's top secret program located in Manhattan's Baxter Building. Aided by Victor Van Damme, (later Dr. Doom) Reed attempted to teleport organic material through the "N-Zone." The experiment went awry and gave Reed fantastic powers. His body was converted into a malleable, almost liquid form that can stretch great lengths. Calling himself Mr. Fantastic, he and his fellow friends formed the Fantastic Four. MISTY KNIGHT (Bystander)
(good) Misty Knight was a sharp-shooting NYPD patrolwoman until her arm was blown off by a terrorist's bomb. It was replaced by a bionic one that gives her greater than average strength. Her best friend is Colleen Wing, whose life she saved. The two formed their own detective agency; Nightwing Restorations. Because of their martial arts prowess, the two women are known as the Daughters of the Dragon. Misty was the roommate of the X-Man Phoenix and is the lover of the hero Iron Fist. MOONSTAR
(Double) (good) After spending time in Asgard with her Valkyrie "sisters," Dani Moonstar returned to Earth. Though she had recovered from her transformation as a Dark Valkyrie, Brightwind had not, turning black and now called "Darkwind." Dani developed her illusion creating powers so she could generate a psionic bow and arrow which could be used to render a target unconscious or dredge up its greatest fear. Working as an undercover agent of SHIELD, she infiltrates the Mutant Liberation Front. Moonstar later rejoined some of her original New Mutant teammates in X-Force. MOIRA MACTAGGART (Bystander)
(good) A Noble prize winner in mutant genetics, Dr. Moira MacTaggart worked from her Mutant Research Center on Muir Island off the coast of Scotland. A college friend and ex-lover of Professor Xavier, Moira was his "silent partner" in founding the Xavier school. Xavier used the Muir Island compound to house many dangerous mutants including Xavier's illegitimate son Legion and Moria's own son Kevin. (also called Proteus) Moira has been a constant ally of the X-Men, falling in love with X-Man Banshee, adopting orphan Ranhe Sinclair (Wolfsbane), helping Cable adjust to the 20th century and convincing Xavier to establish the New Mutants. Moria worked to find a cure to the mutant-killing Legacy Virus, contracting a strain of the virus herself. She was close to discovering a cure when the Muir Isle facility was destroyed by Mystique and the Brotherhood. Mortally wounded, Moira clung on to life long enough to deliver her research to Xavier. NEW MUTANTS (Group) After the "death" of the X-Men at the hands of the Brood, Professor X vowed to never create a superhero team again. Moira MacTaggert persuaded him to take on new five new students: Wolfsbane, Karma, Mirage, Cannonball and Sunspot. As the New Mutants, the team learned how to cope with their powers while the battling superhuman menaces. They were soon joined by Magma, Magik, Cypher and Warlock. The New Mutants shared a variety of adventures, from travelling to Asgard to being obliterated and recreates by the Beyonder. After Professor X went into space, the team was lead first by Magneto and then by Cable who reorganized them into X-Force. |

NIGHTCRAWLER (Kurt Wagner
LE) (good) The X-Man known as Nightcrawler possesses the mutant ability to open a portal into another dimension, travel through it and emerge back into his own dimension. When Nightcrawler does this, the air from that dimension, which smells of brimstone, escapes with a "Bamf." He also has an unconscious ability that keeps him from teleporting into areas he cannot see or has never been in, which keeps him from materializing into a solid object. NIMROD the Hunter (Unique)
(bad) In the alternate future of "Days of Future Past," almost all mutants have been hunted down and imprisoned by sentinels. Freedom fighters Katherine Pryde and Rachel Summers break into "Project Nimrod" to stop the construction of the ultimate Sentinel. Named after the famous hunter, Nimrod possesses sophisticated tracking hardware and software, is impervious to most damage, can teleport at limited range, can reconstruct himself from complete destruction, fire energy, disintigrator and plasma blasts and can alter his form to look entirely human. The attempt fails and Summers is transported back in time to the 20th century. Nimrod follows. Upon his arrival, Nimrod adopts a human identity and gains the public's trust as a vigilante. He begins to target and attack mutants including the X-Men. It takes the combined might of the X-Men and the Hellfire Club to destroy him. Reconstructing himself, Nimrod resumes his hunt. However he is absorbed by the original sentinel (known as the Master Mold) and pushed the mystical portal known as the Siege Perilous. ORPHAN (good) Nicknamed "Mister Sensitive" due to his incredibly sensitive skin which also gives him extraordinary senses, mutant Guy Smith studied zen and martial arts to help block the pain his sensitive nature brought him. Though Professor X created a uniform that numbed his senses, Guy remained depressed and took to playing Russian Roulette.He was recruited into X-Force, and calling himself the Orphan, became the team's leader. Despite all the in-fighting and back-biting, Guy managed to lead the team to some success and started a relationship with teammate U-Go-Girl. When U-Go Girl was killed, Guy slipped back into depression, contemplating suicide again. Renaming the team X-Statix, Guy eventually stepped down as leader but remained a team member. POWER MAN (good) Carl Lucas was a common street thug until his his best friend set him up. While in prison Carl was offered parole if he volunteered for human experimentation. The experiment gave him unbreakable skin and super strength. Carl used his newfound power to bust out of prison. Fleeing to New York, he changed his name to Luke Cage aka Powerman and founded the Hero for Hire bodyguard agency. He worked for a short time as the Thing's replacement on the Fantastic Four. He and partner Iron Fist changed Heroes for Hire into a detective/protection agency. When Heroes for Hire was sold to a corporation and dismantled, he returned to the inner city, giving up the Powerman name. PROFESSOR XAVIER (Ultimate)
(good) Professor Charles Xavier of the Ultimate universe is still a crusader for mutant rights, the founder of the X-Men and a powerful mutant, but that's where the similarity ends. He lost the use of his legs after a "falling out" with Magneto. He is not above telepathically manipulating people, even his own students, for the sake of his ideals. His alpha level telepathic abilities allow him to read minds, manipulate thoughts and memories, levitate objects and stun others into paralysis or unconsciousness.
