On my recent trip to Melbourne,  Arkansas,  I meet a member of the Ramsey Family who has been doing research for many years.  Her name is Glenda and while visiting her I impressed by her knowledge of this family and the archives that she has.   She has a pair of "BRITCHES" as they were called made by Lucinda Jones for her husband Joseph.   The material was had woven and than made into thread,  then the "BRITCHES".  The buttons were made of bone.    The condition of the britches is very good.  Someone could wear them today.  The only damage was a little from under the one heal.  Joseph was a tall man,  his inseam was about 36 to 38 inches.   Another idem is a tin with a picture engraved on it of Joseph.  Glenda had a negative and then a picture made.  I saw the picture first and thought that was the original.  Glenda has I would guess 200+ pictures of the descendents of Joseph and Lucinda.

          As it turns out there is a Ramsey Family reunion in the Melbourne area every year.  The date for 1999 is the second weekend of July.  It will be indoors at the local college.  The items mentioned above might be removed from the safety deposit box and put on display.
