Our car is a real steel willys coupe that started life as a daily driver & weekend cruiser Sue drove to work for over 4 years and has attended several Street Rod Nationals. The Willys is all home built starting with the 2X3 mild steel chassis was powered by a stock 454 chevy with small B&M super charger, single 4 barrel carb, and turbo 400 trans. Sue did most of the rough body work and Roger applied the torch red paint. Kelly Kocher, owner of Kustom Sign and Graphics laid down the great flame job. Roger narrowed the Ford 9" rear end and even shortened our own axles and hung it on Camaro leaf springs. The Willys worked great for the street getting 12 miles per gal. and trouble free! Then Sue found the sport of drag racing and tried her hand at it and just loved it!!!
When we first started 5 years ago in street trim, Sue ran mid 8s in the 1/8 mile. The Willys now sports a 510 inch chevy engine with G&G Machine shop of Rantoul taking care of all the machine work, still run the small B&M blower but have Rons flying toilet injector on methanol, Canfield aluminum heads, Cam Motion roller cam, Midwest Converters with 5000 stall, a Sloan 8 disk powerglide, and a S&W 10 point cage.
This year Tatmans Collision Repair did a great paint job for us and Kustom Sign & Graphics laid another of his super flame jobs for us. With the changes made to the car this year, the Willys should dip into the 5 sec. 1/8 mile and 8 sec. 1/4 mile range with Sue still at the wheel. She does a great job driving.

Sue is a mom, wife,& secretary during the week and racer on the weekends. We have 4 children ranging in age from 34 to 24 years old. Sue has raced everything from Demo-Derby cars, modified stockcar racing and drag racing. We race every weekend all around the midwest inc. Coles County Dragway, Route 66, IRP Indy, US 41, ET Dragway, Action Dragstrip, StLouis and as far south as Huntsville, montgomery Motorsports Park and Emerald Coast Dragway in Fla.

Torro the wonder dog is the other racer in the family he's a retired racer we picked up in florida while visiting parents and racing. Torro covers the Coles County 1/8 strip in 14 sec. @ 42 mph.
