• Under BRIGHT SUNNY SKIES  (UGGGHHHHHH, now they have nice weather:(

11:00 AM Monday, 4/20/98 (rain delayed)

I would say Chevy (Bobby Hamilton) dominated this race.....
And a PIT CREW Day!
All Drivers were okay after all wrecks,,,there were no Big scares, Thank God.
(I drove all night last night and have yet to sleeeep so pardon any errors PLEASE :)
• Caution 1-Lap 4 DW and Jeff Burton get together.
• Caution 2-Lap 14 Jimmy Spencer lost it in turn 4, and wrecked, also involved Sterling Marlin (and Morgan Shepard).
• Chad Little  65-spins into a 360, keeps going, no caution, but little losses a lap and the car is smoking.
• Caution 3-Lap 72 David Green spins and hits the wall in turn 1.
• Caution 4-Lap 100 Terry Labonte got a light tap from Jeff Green, Terry spun, did not hit anything, but caution came out.
• Caution 5-Lap 154 Geoff Bodine was tapped by Chad Little, Geoff kept going, but again a caution came out. Jerry Nadeau and Johnny Benson also had a small bit of damage.
• Bobby LaBonte was held in the pits, I missed why sorry. (gotta clean the house sometime!)
• Dick Trickle has transmission problems
• Kevin Lapage (rookie) lost 2 cylinders, he is out.
• Caution 6-Lap 178 Geoff Bodine spun, Randy LaJoie tapped up into Lake Speed.
• Caution 7-Lap  270 (ish) I missed it :( Johnny Benson and Lake speed wreck.
During this caution.....
Earnhardt got his lap back and Mark Martin was headed for the pits, he realized they were closed he went to go back on the track and he hit the water barrels that sit in front of the pit entrance wall.
• Caution 8-Lap 288 Mark Martin and DW got together and spun, both significant damage.
• Caution 9-Lap  297 Kyle Petty spun and kept going, no caution, but then a caution was called for debris on the track.
As Kyle was leaving the pits, his left rear wheel came off.
• KUDOS to the KODAK PIT CREW!!! They and the STP Team ran out to help Kyle on the pit road exit, The KODAK CREW BROUGHT THE JACK!! That's Class!!
The runaway tire almost ran over a few NASCAR Officials and hit a NASCAR Truck, Left a GOOD Size dent.
• Caution 10-Lap 310 Joe Nemecheck and spun, leaving oil on the track.
Bobby Hamilton had a problem in the pits.  Dale Earnhardt took on only 2 tires to give him the lead!
• Caution 11-Lap 358 Kenny Wallace and Chad Little wrecked.  John Andretti took on only 2 tires, also, to give him the lead!
• Todd Bodine went behind the wall, Todd Bodine said "The Engine Just Broke"
• Steve Grissom spun, and kept going. No caution.
• Caution 12-Lap 380 Hut Strickland spun. No one pitted.
• Caution 13-Lap  397 Jimmy Spencer spun, then restarted and spun RIGHT IN Front of the Leaders
• Sterling Marlin spun, no caution.
• Caution 14-Lap 414 Jeff Burton, Steve Grissom, Brett and Geoff Bodine all made contact.
John Andretti, With 6 laps fell off the pace, he was in 2nd, He ran out of gas, then staled 3 times in the pits.
