A VERY Personal Recap of Richmond
((this is long, mainly cause there are MANY people on the lists that wanted to be at this meeting and were unable to attend, if your not interested in our weekend in Richmond just stop reading now))

Denise I am so sorry I missed you I asked several people but was a no go :(

RIR -- ADNASCAR Meeting!
Friday--Ru, Samantha, Ken (let's just not go there) and I arrived at Terri's house, a beautiful house at that! (so sweet of her and here family to put us up! Or should I say put up with us <G> Thanks Terri for EVERYTHING!!!!)  Immediately We left for the track, I missed my #9 team's qaul run :( we were 5 mins to late.  The BGN race was good, Dale Jr. dominated.  But all in all it was a good race, I just don't like to see one person dominate, No matter who it is, but the best part of Friday was meeting JB and his great kids, Ryan, LynnE and Matt, Kell, Tom, Becca, got to see Trish again! and several others from ADNASCAR were also there (forgive me I couldn't keep up with all the names, heck I don't even know the screen names and I email them daily!) After the BGN race we stayed in the parking lot for an hour or so chatting, I received a phone call from a great guy, but was not able to meet up with him,  maybe next time Charlie!  (I hope!) Then we all went over to JB's for an ADNASCAR get together.  There I meet Jeff, Chris, Janet!!! (Flew all the way from California for this!) GalT!  Steve and Kathy, and others ((Yikes)) We had a GREAT time (Ken slept most of the time, thank God)

Late night, up early to Ru's smilin' face!  ---

Jeff YOU ARE COMING TO THE RACE WITH US,,,,ok so now we got Jeff straightened out....Off to the track we go!!  Its noon, we get a great parking spot for all of us, (6 cars full!) Trish and Charlie brought a canopy/tent and we put up the chairs and sat and Really got to know each other,  Folks I know I have said this before but these people from ADNASCAR are some of the greatest people/fans I have ever meet.  We all have different drivers that we follow but we ALL RESPECT NASCAR As a whole, we love the sport, there was no bashing, oh ok, a crack here or there, but no bashing, just spirited chat! ((anyone know where to get jello molds of race cars???  Wow were they full o rum!  GOOOOOOD eatin!!!!!
We went into the track about 6:30, had great seats (THANKS RU AND JB!) sat in back stretch towards turn 3 (some of you have seen most of the following....)
I havta say Richmond was one of the most enjoyable Live events I have ever
seen.  When Dale E got caught up in that early wreck, we all were so scared, I
doubt (have not seen replay yet) that you could see the flames, the car was
literally engulfed on the right side, everyone was screaming for him to get out
of the car.  Robert Pressley's car came to rest right in front of us, and when
the net did not come down and no arm came out  we really worried.  Then
Bobby Labontes hit, WOW did he HIT.  But as far as I am concerned that was a
field of 43 RACERS,  Everywhere ya looked there was a race, Burton-Gordon,
Schrader-Martin, Jarrett-Martin ,,,  and so on.  My pick for the race was (yes Rob I will publicly admit this) Schrader.  (if Nadeau didn't win ofcoarse!) OH My God  Melling Team/Gordon fan picks other drivers, Yep I sure do   I am a fan of NASCAR first and foremost. I follow Gordon and also very much so, the Melling Team, but I love to see variety.  I think these guys put on one hell of a show last night. I have already said I am going to  RIR for the next event, though I don't think anything can beat what I saw last night.  Also I must say, WOWOWOWOW Spencer!  The man had been dealing with horrendous headaches, did not even think he would race anymore this season, He took a HARD hit in Happy Hour and came back to not only race BUT LEAD!

I also was very glad to hear that "tiregate" (cambergate could be another story LOL Rob and Greg!) is over.  Now I hope Mr. Roush is man enough to make a public apology, he not only affected EVERYONE involved with the 24 Team/family, but his own teams also were VERY affected by his
actions.  IMO

After the race we sat and enjoyed each others company for several hours (Ken slept again!! Thank God!)  I got in at 5:30 this am, one of the people we were with had to be taken to the hospital (poss. Heart attack) so it was, needless to say, a very long night, and rough ride home.  She is okay and hopefully she and her hubby will be heading back to New York Today or Tomorrow, Godspeed you guys.

Some of you may have noticed you received Qual, line-ups and results off a server list HUMOR-AOL, I moved one of my AOL lists over to a List Rob the bandit made for All of you, so you would be able to at least get that info. I feel bad when I leave ya'll with nothing.
Rob I owe you my live and more for all that you do and continue to do to help me , but this weekend you REALLY extended yourself to me and my subscribers and we love and appreciate you for all of it.  You sir are true fan of the sport, but more importantly a great person.  Thank you :)

BTW Burton raced his butt off  The best man won last night!  Glad everyone did it safely and I pray Pressley's arm/shoulder/collarbone are okay and he is back where he loves to be this weekend.

The people from ADNASCAR
This weekend meant more to me than anyone can imagine, Chris is on the donar list and she is due to call them back Monday, Maybe A match!  Lets wait and see but nonetheless she is a donor participant, that alone brings me to happy tears.  Chris is just an example of the kind generous people I spent the last two days with,
-Ru well I can't go there cause I think there is a limit on the size of mail I can send and with her I could go on and on. u is simply a class act.
- LynnE and Matt I wish so much we had more time together Those Die Hard Yates fans are just 2 fantastic people!  They were the only 2 I meet that were not from ADNASCAR.
-Terri, she opened her house to so many people, several - perfect strangers, but when your a NASCAR Fan your not a stranger, your a friend we have yet to meet!
Jae--Kell, I enjoyed you so much! Hope your feeling better,
-Tom ,I want the crab dip recipe!  (((Tom)))
-Janet, Pack and move east!  Thanks for the use of your headphones,  I know who packs a scanner and forgets headphones  DOH ME,
- Ernie, your were a pleasure!  Thanks again for the glass kisses!
- Chris, may your marrow match! and may you get $150 blisters at Bristol next year LOL!
- Samantha, thanks for laughing with me about Ken, I know I should have just,,,oh I will behave!
- Becca, hope to see ya next year! Was great meetin' ya!
- Jackie, feel better, Dwayne do not believe anything Ken told ya!
- Trish and Charlie, We havta stop meetin' this way!!  Oh no never mind I'll meet ya at any race!
- Steve and Kathy,  Did someone say JELLO!!!!  Thanks guys they were yummmmy!
- JB, (Mr Mom)  Bakes his little girl a Dale Jr cake for her birthday, need I say more about this guy!?
- Ryan, your the person I expected,,,But even more so,,,I saw you run up to the ambulance Ryan, you area remarkable man.  I feel very blessed to know you, meeting you was a joy.
- Jeff, well, well Jeff ,,,, Ryan opened a new world to me and Jeff you continue to add to it and surprise me.  I was a bit nervous coming over to ADNASCAR with my news letter, now I just wonder,,,,,lol no just kiddin'  You have all worked very hard to maintain a great online community.  But what you do each year at RIR is just amazing, you bring Online to life.
If I missed someone I am so sorry, but as y'all know there were MANY of us and it was hard to keep up with!
Thank you each and everyone of you for a FANTASTIC weekend!!

Sorry So Long folks, but honestly I had a LOT more to say.  Web site to Follow!
