1999 Stats and Facts:
Nadeau posted the best finish
of his career -- 11th -- in the 1999 season opener at Daytona (Fla.) International
Speedway. Last week, he started 33rd in the TranSouth Financial 400
at Darlington Raceway and finished 40th after an early race accident put
him four laps down and out of contention. He is currently in 32nd
position in the NASCAR Winston Cup points standings.
During this weekend's events at Texas Motor Speedway, Nadeau will be
followed by a film crew from The Learning Channel. He will be the
featured driver in an upcoming special tentatively titled "The Secret World
of Stock Cars."
1998 Stats and Facts:
Nadeau was unable to qualify
for the NASCAR Winston Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway in 1998.
His highest finish in 1998 was 15th at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International.
His best starting position was at Sears Point (Sonoma, Calif.) Raceway
where he posted the second-fastest speed in time trials.
Nadeau's Thoughts on Texas Motor Speedway:
"I haven't been able to race at Texas yet, but we tested there at the
end of last year. It was a really good test session for us and we
learned a lot. We are taking the car we won the Las Vegas Winston
West race in to run this weekend. It drives really well and it's
really comfortable to me, so I think we'll be ready. Liking the car
you are driving is an important
key to a good run, and I really like driving a car that already knows
it's way to victory lane" |
