Welcome to another day in Paradise. The fishing for steelies the past week has been another excellent week as the river is full of fish drop backs and unspawn. If you are looking for a last spring steelie trip now would be the time. Word has it that there is still several tanks fo fish not yet released back to the river and that should happen around the first of May so who knows depending on water temp we may have a little May fishing. I have plenty of dates still open for the Fall 08 Salmon and Steelhead season. So call or e-mail me to get your prime date for this coming season. Please Practice Catch and release for the awesome steelhead as we need to have better management of this resource. We need to reverse the trend over the last few years of declining returns. There are many factors that are leading to this decline, like creel limits that are to high in both the lake and the river, changing environmental conditions and other factors. As stewards of the river we need to do much more to protect this resource so there will be fishing for the future
