Visit the Isle of Purbeck, designated as a "World Heritage Site" for its Jurassic Coast, recognised as one of the worlds most geologically important places on the planet, also rated as an area of "out-standing natural beauty".


Open from Easter until October 2004.

Woodyhyde Camp site is Set in the heart of the Purbeck Countryside with approx. 13 acres made up of three separate fields, one of which has no dogs allowed. It is a large rural site with no marked pitches where both Tents and Motor Caravans can rest where they prefer, unfortunately we cannot accept Caravans. Swanage steam railway runs adjacent to the site and can be a great sight to see trundling its way to Corfe or Swanage. It is an ideal location for all types of holiday with the award winning Swanage and Studland beaches close by. Accessability to footpaths directly from the site leading to coastal paths and through the Purbeck hills.

Places to see:-

There are many Coastal walks and Countryside footpaths nearby or for the more active Swanage is an ideal Diving site with easy access from the Pier or the Boat Park, or there is, Horse Riding, cycling and Rock Climbing.
The historic Village of Corfe Castle just a mile away with Wareham ,Kimmeridge Bay, Lullworth Cove and the uninhabited village of Tynham are all worth a visit. For enterntainement you can visit Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum, Blue pool and Tower Park leisure Centre in Poole.

Visit the local viallage of Langton Materavers and sample the local Ales and Hospitality of The Ship and the Kings Arms public houses.

Try out some of the local boating & sporting activites like, Diving , Riding & cycling - see "THINGS TO DO in Purbeck"

During the summer many special events take place throughout Purbeck and the surrounding areas.
Take the opportunity to use Woodyhyde as a base to relax and then visit or particiciate in some of these intersting

Site Rules:-

  1. On arrival, please book in and pay at the shop/reception.
  2. Tickets issued upon payment must be displayed on the out-side of the tent at all times.
  3. No Caravans. (Camper Vans and Tents welcome).
  4. No open fires (Contained Bar-B-Q's are ok).
  5. Complete quite after 10.30pm
  6. Dogs must be on a lead.
  7. Speed limit of 10mph
