Marie urges home safety

West Park's Labour Councillor Marie Rimmer is urging all St Helens residents over 65,and families with young children to take advantage of St Helens Council's free home safety checks and free carbon monoxide detectors.

Marie said" Around 50 people a year die as a result of carbon monoxide from gas fires and many more die or are injured as a result of preventable accidents at the home.Areas considered by the Home Safety Check include: tripping hazards, the safety of electrical appliances and child safety issues."
