Christmas and New Year Greetings

There were too many to put on one page so I have broken up the list by continent.

Since some cultures do not celebrate Christmas, some of the greetings are similar phrases such as "The Saviour is born" or "Be happy on the Lord's birthday". Whatever seemed appropriate for the occasion.

Many of the languages shown here were provided by Mr. Antoni Llull Marti, Head of the Human Services Department at the Palma de Mallorca Airport in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Phrases are followed by an asterisk (*) indicate that I am unsure of its meaning. They could be a holiday greeting or something such as "Good luck" or "Joy and Peace". These were some of the ones provided by Mr. Marti as "words that our sources, not all of whom are Christians, consider to be fit for a Goodwill Message."

Note: text in square brackets [] is for explanations and not part of the greetings.
