Whistlin Wind Appaloosas
Spring 2002 Sales List
Listed below is a very brief description of the horses we currently have for sale. For more information on any of these, please just follow the link of their name!
My apologies for letting the website go so long without updating it. In addition to the new move and all that it involves, I also have a new grandson who occupies what spare time the horses and my job don't use. Because I have so little time to give to the horses and my grandson, I have decided to sell out of the breeding business so that I have more time to devote the greatest joy in my life. I will be keeping a couple of geldings to trailride and show and to teach Dawson to ride with. We also have one mare leased so we will still be foaling at least one mare each year. I am still actively involved with our regional Appaloosa club and most of my friends are breeders so I will still be more than happy to help you find that perfect Appaloosa.
We will stand Totally Tardee this breeding season and/or until he sells with his stud fee at $500.00.
***please note*** to return to the Sale page, you will have to use your "back" key on your browser. The back key at the bottom of each page takes you to the main page of each category.
Totally Tardee
, Tardee Gold x Ms. Mighty Time, 1999 black leopard stallion, gorgeous head and body, super disposition, easy to handle, taught to collect from a dummy and live cover, expecting one foal in 2002 from test mare breeding. This was Ms. Mighty Time's last foal and he has an incredible pedigree to match his gorgeous color! He was nominated as a foal into the Breeders Trust ... hasn't been shown since he was a weanling due to time conflicts. $25,000.00
Sun Princess H
, Sun Prince BV x Cita Pass, 1990 creme palomino mare, sells open or bred to "TT" for a 2003 foal. This is my top broodmare (also broke to ride but hasn't been ridden in 5 years). She consistently gives us great foals with incredible heads and necks regardless of the stallion bred to. She has produced a palomino colt w/color by a chestnut roan, a buckskin blanketed colt by a N/C black, a buckskin blanketed filly and a chestnut roan filly by Shine, a tri-color leopard colt by Tardee Gold, a palomino filly w/color by a chestnut leopard and a palomino blanketed colt by a different chestnut leopard. She is great to handle, super easy to breed, easy to manage in a herd situation or alone, allows you to handle her foals, is easy to catch, worm, vaccinate and do foot care. $5,000.00
Princess Alibi
, Prince Plaudit x Rubys Windy Guard, 1983 chestnut roan mare. This is a quirky old broodmare but she has produced some outstanding foals for us. She sells open for 2002. $1,200.00
Gems and Jasmine
, Four Wheelin PR x Co Lady Gem, 1996 NC black mare. "Jazz" has produced 2 loud colored fillies to date and is currently in foal (due anytime) to "TT". This is a pretty little mare who's very sweet and loves attention. She's an easy breeder and foaler but is not broke to ride (time again). At the moment, she won't be for sale until she foals. At that time, she will sell rebred for 2003 to "TT" for $3,500.00 and her foal will will be for sale as well. Depending on the foal, we may consider pricing them as a 3-in-1 package.
Can't Top This (pending), Top This Zippo x Sun Princess H, 2001 palomino blanketed colt with 4 high stockings and a bald face. He has that head and neck that Sunny P stamps on her foals and he's a real sweetie to handle ... should mature over 15 hands easily. I don't have pictures of him on the website and only have baby pics of him, but will email those until he sheds out so we can take some decent ones of him. $3,500.00
Well, that's the crew! As I mentioned, we have one mare leased who is due to foal anytime by Andrew's Approval. We haven't decided if we want to keep or sell this one yet and we are keeping our last Shine daughter out of Princess Alibi born in 2001. Feel free to email me with any questions, etc. on any of the horses we have listed. Thanks for your consideration!
