"Some people walk into your life and quickly go. Some people walk into your life and leave footprints on your heart and you are never the same".....

Chris Wilson strolled into my life In March, 1999. Cocky, swaggering and off beat, I was often in awe of his ability to face life with a 'kiss my ass' attitude. Little did I know what a memorable mark this man would leave in my world.

Lord, ain't he gorgeous? With his death, I am devastasted to the very core of my
heart knowing I will never see this beautiful smile again
or hear his quirky and often raunchy comments.

I did not know Chris as a baby nor did I know him in
his fancy clothes. I knew him at the apex of his life
when he was passing from a rebel into a peaceful man.

Perhaps he had finally reached the goal he always looked for and seldom found as he reflected on life. Maybe, once again, Chris was only blowing smoke up my ass, or maybe he had found peace after all. I do not know nor do I care. I just thank God and the Wilson family for giving me this man for a while. Look at that
beautiful smile

Chris came to work at Oakland Nursery shortly after splitting up with his band, MonsterTruckFive, and shortly after the split up of his marriage to Kate.

With all the changes going on in his life, maybe he was searching for peace and solace.
I believe he found it back in the trees at Oakland and with the friends he made there.
I know I found peace knowing him for the short time I did.

For Chris from Sue
I have been awakened by the touch of the suns first rays
I have been to the solitary places and found company
I have flown on air in lazy circles with eagles
I have seen wild things in the shadows which to others were mystery
I have shattered the limits imposed by my mortal eyes
And seen every thread in mother natures gown*
