98-99 Ski Season Calendar of Events


October 1, 1998: Season passes go on sale

November 8, 1998: Youth Deer Hunting Day Kids under age 16 are allowed to hunt for deer today. Be careful in the woods!

November 14-29, 1998: Deer Hunting Season This is the popular firearms season. If you go in the woods, wear bright colors.

December 1 & 3, 1998: Bennington Schools Ski Program fittings for rental equipment, 3:30 - 6:30 pm.

December 12, 1998: Season Opener Citizens' Race mass start @ 1:00 pm, male/female, age groups, skate/classic categories. All welcome.

January 2, 1999: Moonlight Dinner and Ski Tour buffet dinner in the Base Lodge followed by a guided tour by the light of the full moon.

January 30, 1999: Moonlight Dinner and Ski Tour buffet dinner in the Base Lodge followed by a guided tour by the light of the full moon.

February 27, 1999: Moonlight Dinner and Ski Tour buffet dinner in the Base Lodge followed by a guided tour by the light of the full moon.

February 19 & 20, 1999: Williams College Winter Carnival cross-country ski competition of the top colleges in the eastern United States. Spectators welcome.

March 6 & 7, 1999: Dog Sled demonstrations and National Sled Dog Testing

March 17, 1999: St. Patrick's Day Celebration wear green for 1/2 price trail pass

March 21, 1999: Spring Fling Citizens' Race & BBQ mass start @ 1:00 pm, male/female, age groups, skate/classic categories. Fun event to celebrate the season. All welcome.

Ongoing: Backcountry Tours, every other Sunday

Bill Koch Ski League practices, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30
