Howard County Art Guild

The Howard County Art Guild is an organization of artists and supporters of art. It is open to all interested persons. We meet at the Howard County Center for the Arts, 8510 High Ridge Road, Ellicott City, MD. Our current organization is as follows:

Forthcoming Meetings

The Board of Directors will meet on the fourth Mondays of February, April, June, August, and October at the Howard County Center for the Arts at 7:30. General meetings will be held on the fourth Mondays of January, March, May, July, September, and November.

    Barbara Deckert is the author of two books:; read reviews and order at

    Guild Activities

    •Our Lecture Series at general meetings presents recognized speakers on such
    topics as painting techniques, resources for showing and selling art work in Howard
    County, and critiquing one's work.

    •High quality and low-cost Workshops are presented on Saturdays and provide
    hands-on experience with a variety of techniques.

    •A Scholarship Program> provides money and other benefits to deserving Howard
    County high school students who desire to study art in college.

    •Opportunities are provided to show one's work at local Exhibitions.
