Internet Projects  
Along with other classes throughout the United States and other countries around the world, our class is participating in collaborative projects that will be shared on the internet.

SEASONAL CHANGES
We are joining other elementary classrooms in different global communities to collect and share seasonal data.  We observe and record the changes of a special tree in our school courtyard through the seasons.
ST. PATRICK'S DAY and LUCKY CHARMS
How many clover marshmallows are in a box of LUCKY CHARMS?  Well, we are joining other elementary classrooms throughout the United States to collect  this data from boxes of LUCKY CHARM cereal.  Check out the results!  Students even created their own excel graph displaying their personal results.
THE QUILT PROJECT
Classes exchange quilt squares displaying their state animal.  Quilts will be essembled and displayed.  Classes also share information about their class, town and state.

We have sent out Connecticut postcards to classrooms throughout the United States.  We will also receive postcards from these classrooms as well.    Thank you to Wells Enterprises for donating the postcards for this project!
AUTUMN ACROSS AMERICA
Autumn Across America is a collaborative Internet project for K - 4 classes. It offers students an opportunity to learn about their country and the fall season through Internet sharing of writing and pictures of their own communities.

CHOCOLATE STORIES
Classrooms from around the country are using CHOCOLATE as a theme to read chocolate stories and engage in wonderful learning activites using this theme.

CATCH WINTER OLYMPIC FEVER
After learning about the 15 different winter olympic sports, we will vote on our favorite one.  We will share our results with other classrooms throughout the United States.  My students will also presenting a short report about one of these sports to the class.  GO  USA!!!  Torino 2006!  
COLORFUL SPRING
Colorful Spring! is an online collaborative literacy project.  Students will share signs of a colorful spring in their different communities through poems and illustrations.
MY TOWN IS IMPORTANT
Using Margaret Wise Brown’s, The Important Book, our class and other classrooms throughout the world describe characteristics of their communities.

We shared information about our school's  Arbor Day planting of trees with other schools.
