Making The Mobile Mine Part One
CONTEST TIME: How creative can you be? Here's your chance to showcase your talent. Every week or so we will post a specific "target" and the limitations that you have to work under. You cook up what you think works best and submit it. The AfterGlow staff will then judge the entries and post the top three this contest page for the world to see. Sound simple? Let the hacking begin!

CURRENT TARGET: The Mobile Mine, it moves to a location and becomes a land mine. Write up a unit description, complet with name. You may use any graphics that you wish, but must use only one of the standard weapons. No other modifications are allowed or assumed. You must determine what abilites and limitations would be reasonable for this unit. You will be judged on complete design and balance.

THE WINNING ENTRIES: We were amazed at the volume of entries that we recieved. And it's been very difficult to test of the them in a timely manner. So we're going to do this in a "rolling release" manner. Our first winner comes from MANIAC9, and uses the Titan body with a twist. The effect is created by saying "Turret=no".

Making The Mobile Mine Part Two
Now comes the second half, as that was only the "moble" part of the Mobile Mine. Now we have to create the "mine" part. We've taken the liberty of linking the two part together. Our next winner comes from KLAUMER and uses a highly modified GDI Tower.

Several things are going on in this one. We never actually see the Tower because of the "InvisibleInGame=yes" line, but we see a flashing light from the animation. However, since this would be a clue to the enemy, KLAUMER gives the mine a tiny stealth generator. And in keeping with the contest requirements, the mine is armed with the same bomb as the Hunter-Seeker, giving it a fairly hefty punch.
