Welcome to the WA2RQY
"Confusion Radio"
Heres A Shot of my favorite AM set-up.
Heres is a picture of my Hallicrafters SX-115.
They were built from about 1961 to 1964, they were triple conversion and
can still hold their own today with the best of them, even after 35 years!
Designed to match the HT-32B transmitter and HT-33B linear amplifier, they
are highly sought after and collectable.

Hi, My name is Rich and I'm WA2RQY.
I've been licensed since 1961 when I started as a novice with the call WV2RQY.
I lived in Manhattan and used a Dipole atop a 6 story building where I lived
with my Parents, brother(now KB2TEE) and "Nero" the cat. Most operation in
those days was AM and CW, separate rcvr and xmtr, crystal control. In those
days, tube gear of modest cost tended to drift somewhat and contacts were
not easy to make but were fun! This is where my love for the US made gear
started. Hope that you like my tour, IT's FREE!
The receiver to the left is a Collins R-388 And the transmitter(right) is
a Collins 32V-2 running 100 watts out on am and weighting in at 105
lbs.

One of the last Super-Pros built, around 1970!
It was removed from an FBI building in Manhattan, NY and I bought it up in
Deerfield, NH about 7 years ago. It is in the original cabinet and WoW, is
it heavy! Has enough audio to blow the 70's Luane paneling off the
walls!
